We are looking for a Senior IT Application Engineer to take responsibility for the operation, stability and development of key applications in the environment of a major financial group. The role is focused on the daily operation of applications, incident resolution, SLAs oversight and close cooperation with development and infrastructure teams. The candidate must understand how applications work, have a basic insight into their architecture and be able to operate them independently.

• Operate and support assigned applications (on-premise / cloud – MS Azure)
• Ensure SLAs, manage and handle incidents
• Understand the functioning of applications and have basic insight into their structure (components, services, integration links)
• Analyze logs, identify errors and propose solutions
• Optimize application performance and solve operational problems
• Cooperate with the development team on testing and deploying new versions
• Update technical documentation and provide support to users
• Manage security baseline within assigned applications
• Cooperate with internal teams across the group

• Secondary/university education in IT
• Experience with operating cloud applications on the MS Azure platform
• Knowledge of application servers IIS / GlassFish / WildFly
• Ability to configure applications running on the listed servers
• Basic knowledge of MS SQL (scripts, common operations)
• Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot errors
• Ability to understand how the application works and navigate its architecture
• Experience with application operations and incident management
• English at a communicative level
