Devcity strengthens team for expansion in the Czech digitalization market and is aiming for a quarter-billion turnover

9.10.2024
The global software development company Devcity, founded by two Czech entrepreneurs, Martin Bobek and Tomáš Těthal, who are among progressive suppliers, has evolved from a startup to a comprehensive provider of software solutions for the largest Czech e-shops, developers, banks, media publishers, and public institutions in just a few short years. The company's turnover is growing rapidly and is expected to reach CZK 250 million next year.

Devcity now employs over 80 developers and operates in Prague, Brno, and recently opened a branch in London. The company's core business activities include supplying entire expert teams for corporate client development, custom software and application development, as well as AI development.

Due to its expansion in both the Czech and international markets, Devcity's team has grown since August, particularly in the marketing area, with two primary goals – building long-term brand communication and establishing a digital platform for client communication. The entire marketing strategy will be based on the real needs of both existing and new clients.

The area of digital marketing will now be led by Vilém Terich, in the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), while Vojtěch Hlaváček will take on the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), focusing on strategic planning.

Vilém Terich, CMO Devcity

Vilém Terich is a marketing professional and trendsetter with many years of experience in the market, particularly in the B2B and e-commerce sectors. He specializes in innovations in digital marketing, where he has become a recognized expert. Terich is a pioneer in employee branding and digital recruitment, which he introduced to the Czech market in 2019. He is also known as a consultant for LinkedIn and a speaker at industry conferences.

"We are at the beginning of the communication journey for an ambitious brand with huge potential, and our main task will be to move it forward into the awareness of the target audience and the broader public. We're betting on utilizing the latest technologies with added value from our AI product and process automation. We are at a stage where we want to show our clients new and flexible options in modern technology and software development tailored to their individual needs. We're not here to raise awareness, but to offer a functional service and ecosystem that isn’t stereotypical in the market," says Vilém Terich.

Vojtěch Hlaváček, CSO Devcity

Strategic marketing aimed at new client segments will be the responsibility of Vojtěch Hlaváček, who has been involved in numerous brand marketing projects and has helped build brands for a variety of clients, including those in energy, real estate development, politics, musical theaters, the fashion industry, and many others. In his role as marketing head, he also managed the classic skiing championship in Liberec and was the author of the sandy beach project in the center of Prague.

"We have deliberately brought together two experienced marketing managers from different worlds and given them two interconnected yet distinct goals," adds Martin Bobek.

"Our aim is not to lead a general discussion about the opportunities of using digital tools. We will show the market concrete examples, supported by data and figures. Whether it's a government office, a manufacturing plant, a school, a company, or a TV show producer – none of them will be motivated to change by general marketing phrases about possibilities. You have to show them that efficiency in their specific activity, in their own world, and tailored to their needs," concludes Vojtěch Hlaváček.
